My name is Kathryn Casey. Welcome to my blog.
This is an artistic endeavor to put into words the little moments of each day that strike me in their beauty, complexity, and love. I consider myself a feminist, an academic and an artist, all in different degrees.
I am a feminist of the John Paul II-new feminism sort. I believe women need to be recognized in society for who they are. They are often abused, ignored or dismissed. How a woman makes her place in society is a complex question. I have studied clinical psychology. The human person is dynamic, shaped in every changing ways. What makes us who we are and what motivates us to act is a complex question.
I am a wife and mother. I am, shall we say, new to domestic endeavors and never expected to be a stay-at-home mother. How to enter fully into my vocation, pursue holiness and maintain a balance in pursuing my feminist, academic and artistic endeavors is a complex question.
I am a writer. After coming to understand the new-normal of raising a child with a complex medical condition, I embraced my love of writing and seek to use it to the benefit of our family.
In this blog, I hope you will enjoy the journey with me to pursue answers to these complex questions and savor the moments of insights as they arise in everyday life.
